Jess Haynes and Neal Kendrick Win Redfish Tour Darien Event

The victory earned this Keelshield sponsored team a Ranger Banshee rigged with a 40 HP, 4-stroke Yamaha outboard, Loadmaster trailer, Power Pole shallow water anchor, Minn Kota trolling motor and Humminbird electronics, valued at approximately $20,000.

DARIEN, Ga. — June 12, 2007 – Jess Haynes and Neal Kendrick, from Ridgeland, SC won the IFA Redfish Tour Georgia Division event in Darien Saturday with a two-redfish catch weighing 6.63-pounds.

We used top dog top water baits to find the fish and threw Berkley Gulp jerk baits to catch them. The first cast of the day produced the 3.99-pound redfish and the other slot came thirty minutes later. Those two fish stayed in the well all day. We managed 3 more over slots and at low water the fish disappeared. A special thanks goes out to our main sponsor Keelshield. Rounding out the top five boaters were Bill Pittman and Danny Flynn (6.56-pounds, $2,240); Wade Hastings and Cy Deangelis (5.18-pounds, $1,500); Adam Loud and Cliff White (4.78-pounds, $1,300) and Mike Evans and Carl Evans (4.39-pounds, $1,000).

Bill Pittman and Danny Flynn were the recipients of the $750 Ranger Cup Powered by Yamaha check. Adam Loud and Cliff White walked away with $500 for Big Fish and $100 for wearing their Solar Bat sunglasses across the stage.

The lucrative IFA Redfish Tour presented by Cabela’s is a series of one-day, catch and release, close-to-home events, with two-angler teams using artificial lures only.
