JaxWraps Donates Boat Wrap at SKA Nationals
For immediate release
JaxWraps, a Jacksonville-based vehicle wrap and custom graphics company, will donate a full boat wrap at each of the Southern Kingfish Association’s (SKA) championship tournaments.
JACKSONVILLE — May 08, 2006 — The first wrap has already been donated; it was won by Captain Bryan McGowan at the 2005 SKA National Championship, April 20-23, in Ft. Pierce, Florida. The next JaxWraps custom marine wrap will be donated at the 2006 SKA National Championship to be held November 16-18.
The wraps are awarded as prizes to SKA professional fishermen who enter a drawing through www.jaxwraps.com. McGowan’s name was drawn out of more than 280 entries. He fishes on the “Bite This.”
“It is so great to have such a turn of luck this season. We have been fishing competitively for one year on the tournament trial and we plan to continue on into the future. This boat wrap is going to show that we are taking this more seriously than ever before. Look for us on the water,” said McGowan.
McGowan has been fishing since he was three years old, when his father introduced him to the rod and reel. Now 31, McGowan still fishes with his father for redfish and kingfish on the “Bite This.” In his spare time, McGowan shares his enthusiasm for fishing with Jacksonville locals through charter fishing trips under his company name, 3 Flies Charter.
JaxWraps is providing the boat wrap contests as part of its Official Marine Graphic Sponsorship of the SKA, sport fishing’s largest saltwater tournament trail.
“There has always been a buzz in our Jacksonville office as the SKA National Championship approaches. This year, we are pleased to jump onboard and provide an extra incentive to the fishermen through this contest,” said Jim Burns, president of JaxWraps fleet advertising.
JaxWraps has wrapped vehicles for a wide range of clients, with recent projects including The Funk’s Punks tribute car wrapped in honor of PGA Tour legend Fred Funk, a high-energy Whataburger boat and Hummer to promote the “Texas Treasure” hamburger restaurant, and the Loadmaster boat floating in the St. Johns River under the flying figure of Robbie Knievel as he executed a historic motorcycle jump across the river. The company is also the Official Graphics Sponsor of Braun Racing, a Mooresville, North Carolina-based racing team running in the NASCAR Busch Series. Braun Racing raced its #32 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to twelve top-ten finishes in 2005 and currently holds two top-ten finishes in only the first quarter of the 10-month Busch Series.
The JaxWraps application offers a high-tech solution to mobile marketing and is completely reversible with no long-term effects on a vehicle’s paint or body. The wraps are created using “best-in-industry” vinyl and solvent inks—which don’t just adhere to the vinyl but actually are absorbed by it to prolong their life. With a long list of satisfied clients, from quick-service restaurants including Moe’s and Whataburger to real estate professionals and home builders, JaxWraps is the one to watch in this emerging field.
JaxWraps is looking ahead to the new markets it can serve, with everything on the table right now from the boating industry to professional racing to sports enthusiasts.
